Common questions
Where do the MOT and tax dates come from?
Straight from official sources: the DVSA MOT History service for MOT dates and history, and the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service for tax status and the tax due date. Motorbook simply reads them and reminds you.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your vehicles, reminders and service records stay on your phone. There is no account to create, nothing is sold, and there is no advertising. A plate lookup is passed to the official services to fetch your dates, and nothing more.
Do I really pay only once?
You can. Premium is £9.99 a year, or £24.99 once for lifetime access. There is no weekly plan and no auto-renewing trial designed to catch you out. The free tier covers one car for good.
Does it work for more than one car?
Yes. Add the family cars, a motorbike or the van on Premium. Each vehicle keeps its own dates, history and reminders.
