About the prices

Where do the prices come from?

Motorbook uses the UK Government Fuel Finder dataset. Fuel retailers supply their station details and prices, and must report price changes within 30 minutes.

Why can a price have an older date?

The date is when the retailer last changed that price. An older date often means the price has stayed the same, not that the station stopped reporting. Motorbook flags unusually old prices and hides prices older than the service limit.

Does this include every UK petrol station?

Fuel Finder covers thousands of forecourts across the UK. A station may be missing if its retailer has not supplied usable current data.

Keep fuel prices with the rest of your car.

Motorbook puts nearby fuel, MOT and tax reminders, service records and running costs in one private iPhone app.
